Those were the days my friend… I wish I’d been able to afford a camera when I was a kid and started helping guide mule deer hunters in MT in the later 60’s. The standard was hi on big mule deer. 33 inchers and then some were taken each year, 30” was considered only a last day deer. Those were the days my friend… Thanks Bernie. Osky

And they did it without internet, long range rifles with night scopes, campers or feeders! Several famous faces Fred Bear, Teddy Roosevelt, Custer and OL Butcher. Hard to believe some of the mule deer in there.
Thank's seen some of those picture's before the good ole days thanks for sharing love some of those big mule deer pic's and some whitetail deer camp photos.
YES,that is THE MAN Fred Bear,I can remember looking and reading his books back in the 70's.Started bow hunting because of him and Chuck Adams just like many other started their bow hunting adventures.

I hunted the same salmon streams for brown bear both Fred and Chuck hunted. Fred before me and Chuck after me. I found it a neat coincidence to have shared that turf with those two.
