To catch the most beaver from a crossover such as pictured, in your opinion would you use con's,snares, or footholds?

A 330 set midway down. A foothold at the bottom on a slider.

Foothold on drowner to keep catchin em there.

Or 330 underwater with dive log.

Snare catch will result in destruction of that nice crossover.

Snares work on drowners too.

I'm no Beaver trapper but when I want to clean out a spot of rats and move on, I set alot of traps on good spots like that.

This right here. I use this in the spring to catch them as quick as I can and then move on

Why the foothold on top? Isn’t the beaver going to set off the 330 as he goes down the drowner?

Water is deep on top of dam for drowner.Beaver on drownwer on top of the dam wont be able to get anywhere near a 33o set on the low side of the crossover.
Most times not enough water on the low side of the dam to drown.
Actually,I would set one 330 near the bottom of the crossover and another one or two in the channel below the dam.
You will have multiple catches on extended checks-beaver and otter.
Another tip-the channel below a beaver crossover is a deadly spot for a funnel trap for rats.I'd throw one of them in there too if there was rat sign
Make sure you bring a good packsac with a tump strap to carry out all the fur after 3 days or so.

Yes the drowner goes to the deepwater in the top pond. Im with you Boco. I have set many 330s below as the stream narrows and you will clean up on all critters that travel over the spillway.

This crossover is about 30 yards from the truck so I hope I can take as many as possible from this spot. Lol. Hoping to set tomorrow after the flood waters recede. Can't reach the area in my truck and don't want to have to lug much gear a long distance.
