Any of you guys celebrate it this year?

not really , wife got a positive covid test for Festivus and no one was much up for feats of strength

I don't wait till the end of the year to air greivences my memory i just not that good

although I had suggested a one armed log splitting competition no one wanted to take me up on it , probably cause the only thing left to split is the knotted up messes

I didn't even get out the Festivus pole, aluminum, with a good strength to weight ratio.

I was waiting for Elaine to do some pole dancing, but nope.

So I ask, what's the purpose of the pole?

It’s a plain aluminum pole. Festivus is the opposite of Christmas. Instead of an beautiful ornate Christmas tree it’s a plain aluminum pole.

Another liberal distraction from Christmas and New Years. They make these thing up to try and make themselves relevant!

My understanding of Festivus is that it was made up in an episode of Seinfeld. George’s father made it up as an opposite of Christmas. That’s all.
