How did the smaller front foot leave a track on the top of a bigger rear foot track?

Not a cat nor a canine. That's all I can say for sure.

Two different animals . Like a spotted skunk following a badger for easier walking. Or say a pine marten following a porkypine or something. Need a picture of the trail stead one foot print

To me the big track screams mustilaide and the small track looks like a cat. My 2 cents. Definitely perplexing.
