the biggest problem is people buying everything up for auction sights then pushing you to pay more then store price and you do . Your own worst enemy .Stores are on to this and raise prices to keep it in stock

Why wouldn't stores raise prices? They have no idea when they will see the product back in stock again either. I think some of you don't understand supply and demand. Are the prices high? Yep. Is the demand high? Yep.

Well, today Walmart had 300 round boxes of Winchester .22lr for $40, and all the 12ga steel duck shot a person could want.

I had a "birthday" coupon from Ace Hardware for $5 off, need to use it by the 30th. I stopped at bedroom town Ace and asked what they had for ammo. The answer was 2 boxes of 16 gauge shells. I asked again what the shot size was and how much. The reply was #2 steel @ $27 a box. I walked out the door.
I did notice yesterday in Soo Foo that they had WW 12 gauge slugs for under $6 a box. The old fashioned flying wheel weight style. If they let me use the coupon, I'll pick up a couple of those. That was about the only thing that Ace had in the case besides some plain box WW .223 ammo at almost $25 a box. I'll stick to the flying wheel weights...

Just my 2 cents, it's my opinion this whole thing started with the perfect storm of a shortage. When the fed. Gov. ordered 1.6 billion yes billion rounds of ammo, contracts that must be honored due to national security mandates. Pre Hillary’s first run at the pres. Office. Her attempt at office caused a run on gun shops, guns and ammo.
Gun shops can’t sell guns without ammo to feed them. Then before ammo companies could fully recover you have another run at the gun with Trump vs. Biden. Same thing. Now a shop owner can’t sell a gun without ammo to feed them so he holds some off shelf so he can sell a gun with ammo. People see what appears to be a shortage and this causes mass panic as everybody hops on the www and says Joes shop is out of ammo, mass hysteria ensues. Soon the hoarders pile into the shops and sport stores buying up everything in sight. More hysteria as on line whoxxs, offer squirrel bullets for 20 bucks a box of 50 rounds. Now there have been a record number of first time gun buyers, millions, and each one of them wants as much ammo as they can get because they have heard there is no ammo. Add all of these factors together with the fact we have a president in office that has said he is going to curtail the 2nd amend. And what happens is what we are seeing now. One term of a Repub. Pres. won’t do it. We need a two term Repub. In office to recover from this problem. Nothing against any one person, just my opinion. CASE.

I was at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Kalamazoo this afternoon. Quite surprised by the amount of ammo available. Just about all the calibers you could think of were in stock. Not just a couple of boxes each but almost full sheves.

A year ago Christmas time , family went to a shooting range . Had a good time , and asked about buying some ammo . They said they have a limit of one box , at normal prices , they said the manufacturer didn't raise the price , the stores did . I see prices are starting to come down , just in time for inflation to take them even higher .
