I didn't get a response, so I reckon it doesn't really matter. No way was I going to sell, just curious about what an offer would look like. In the past when I've been asked to sell, I'd tell them they don't have enough money. That was before they had a chance to make an offer.

I'm guessing they just want the names for their data base for client acquisition. So for that reason I will say they will come in low, $ 11,879.00 in reality, Trapperman is worth millions just in knowledge alone!

Well it was a limited time offer. They only buy so many. You must have not acted fast enough.

If one is only interested in making a profit then it will be sold for as small amount as can be. I don't have a good guess, not even a bad guess. I also don't know what membership or name lists sell for but that may have value on the open market for some firms. Also don't know what all the archived information may be worth if collaborated into articles, pamphlets etc. It would have been nice of them to make an offer so that you could just move forward.
Probably the best thing from this maybe that Paul will need to think about how T-Man carries on for the future with his ownership or the ownership of others. Planning is never a bad idea.

Cost is what you pay- Value is what you get.

Leaving the emotion out of it, valuations can get complex and there are several methods to consider- running a DCF Model with Discounted Cash Flow is fairly comprehensive but in addition, triangulation of other methodologies help zero in on the perceived value. An astute buyer would want to understand:

1) Operational Cost Structure
2) Sustainability
3) Long-Term Relevance

As a Potential Buyer I would deep dive into the last two:
Sustainability: Is my target market and demographic aging out of this category or are new young trappers joining at a pace that supports the growth level that leads to additional monetization. Are my new members being retained or contributing to the site and sponsors at the same level of incumbent members?
Long Term Relevance: Understanding, external factors on fur market prices, growing public pressure of the industry, global relationships, that are not easily controlled by the owner.

I’m not a “Rule of Thumb” guy but my SWAG = Sale Price of 2X Earnings

Invaluable to everyone that has commented- myself included!

Not every one looks into the Sustainability or long term factor for profit these days,,like they did years ago.Now days,,there are a lot of Hit and Run,,then on to the next operations out there.

$250,000. It would be worth a lot more, but the advertisement base isn't here (Thank God). One of the only sites that doesn't bombard you with banners and popups.
