SJA, yes they are out there, though uncommon. Two of these shots are the same photo, just reversed. The second one down is the same horse as the first. By the looks of the white rump , I would call this one a blanket chestnut with those peacock spots. All of the shots except the second , are terrible in lighting and resolution , whoever took them. It is a strange look , indeed ! All I know is that making a portrait of a horse like that would give me a headache of a challenge !

Natural camouflage! The indians would love that.

That's really cool! As a kid my favorite breed of horse was a Paint. I still think they're a cool looking horse.
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

Sharon, you know I am no horse expert, but even I can fit a halter and get it on a horse without making a mess of the mane and forelocks!!! Bad, bad horsemanship!!!

I bet the geneticists who study coat colors in animals struggle with that one.

I bet they do too, warrior ! I agree with some of the above observations... The types I like best are very rich dark and light colours contrasting with each other . Not mottled so much it looks muddy or distracts from conformation . But there's something for everyone , anyway
