The wife is at it again. She is under the weather, no smell and taste must be going again. Her second round of this. Tonights snack includes pickled scorpion and ghost peppers trying to get some type of flavor going. Pray for ice cream lol

I had a weird and gross thought. I avoid the very hot peppers because of the typically next day after effects of eating them. I would guess with covid you would not taste the heat, but still regret your decision the next day.
Keith At least you couldn't smell it. Thats how my dad realized he had it.

Wife lost sense of smell when she had it. But she could still feel the heat of peppers. No flavor, but she said the associated pain was still there. Strange.

Among other things it killed my sense of taste pretty much. One thing that does seem to help is vinegar. Your wife might get some food tastes back if she adds some Italian salad dressing or straight vinegar as a side dish.
