So I'm 15 in high school and being at a growing age I eat a lot all the time I am 6 foot one. Well one of my friends brought this up today because his dad made a post on it and it may be in the news. We'll the point in it is the food is disgusting even for me and from what I know nothings real in it. I don't frequently take hot lunch because of this. Another part is the portions I know for a fact the little kindergartens get the same amount as a senior in high school.personally this is not right. Idk but do other states have the same thing. I’m assuming you are talking about cafeteria food. Ask your parents to buy food for school lunches and snacks.

I never had much of an issue with school lunches . Yes, some of the stuff was pretty disgusting, but you could usually find something you liked since we had 3- 4 food line options at our high school. If you didn’t like any of the first three options; the soup and salad bar line was actually a pretty good way to go . It had unlimited portions so if you tend to eat a lot, you could load up a big heaping plate and not get charged extra. Yeah it was just soup and a salad - but if you put 3 hard-boiled eggs on it, a bunch of ranch dressing ,cottage cheese , croutons, ham , turkey, cheese and all the other toppings it comes out pretty well ! Did I mention I like to eat ? Lol . True story- one of the head lunch ladies would often stop by my lunch table and let me know if they had extra food. Since it would get thrown out anyways , it was free, no charge. She didn’t stop at all of the tables but she always seemed to stop at mine regardless of where I sat ? In hindsight I suspect she probably thought I wasnt getting enough to eat at home since I always ate so much at school…Thankfully that wasn’t the case and we had plenty to eat , but she was hands down one of my favorite faculty members!
