So I'm 15 in high school and being at a growing age I eat a lot all the time I am 6 foot one. Well one of my friends brought this up today because his dad made a post on it and it may be in the news. We'll the point in it is the food is disgusting even for me and from what I know nothings real in it. I don't frequently take hot lunch because of this. Another part is the portions I know for a fact the little kindergartens get the same amount as a senior in high school.personally this is not right. Idk but do other states have the same thing.

I’m assuming you are talking about cafeteria food.

Ask your parents to buy food for school lunches and snacks.

I graduated high school 12 years ago and it was thata way back then. I used to buy a double lunch everyday and was still hungry by the end of the day. Always had to bring extra food for before work or sports practice. I about made my parents go broke just on school lunches but dang, a growing mans got to eat. I can only imagine how much smaller the portions have gotten between then and now. If we had access to a microwave, I would have never ate the school lunch except chili or country fried steak days

When schools first closed the schools started handing out daily lunches to every kid and adult (funny how they magically had that budget to feed every kid and adult who went to the school). I took the kids to get their lunches and decided to try a few. They were nasty. Funnel cake jelly filled corn dog was memorable. sick

Eating fake food makes you more hungry. Eat real food, you'll feel more full for longer periods of time so you won't get the cravings. You'll feel better too.

Take your own meals and make healthy choices now, specifically stat a whole foods diet. So t eat anything you can't identify just by looking at it. Set healthy habits now as young guy and they'll stick the rest of your life. Don't wait until you're older and in poor health to start.

Never met a kid in my 75 years that had anything nice to say about cafeteria food, yet we all ate it.

We pack a lunch for our Grandson. He says the cafeteria food is terrible.
When I was in school many moons ago our cafeteria food was tolerable and they also had a huge container of peanut butter, butter and bread to make sandwiches too.

In all of my years of grade and high school I can count on one hand how many times I had to buy the school lunch. I always carried a bag lunch from home. Much better...even way back then.

I graduated almost 21 years ago and the majority of our lunches were actually pretty good. Many of the kids wouldnt drink their milk so i ended up with a few of those. If you absolutely hated it, they had some pretty good chef’s salads made up.

I never had much of an issue with school lunches . Yes, some of the stuff was pretty disgusting, but you could usually find something you liked since we had 3- 4 food line options at our high school. If you didn’t like any of the first three options; the soup and salad bar line was actually a pretty good way to go . It had unlimited portions so if you tend to eat a lot, you could load up a big heaping plate and not get charged extra. Yeah it was just soup and a salad - but if you put 3 hard-boiled eggs on it, a bunch of ranch dressing ,cottage cheese , croutons, ham , turkey, cheese and all the other toppings it comes out pretty well ! Did I mention I like to eat ? Lol . True story- one of the head lunch ladies would often stop by my lunch table and let me know if they had extra food. Since it would get thrown out anyways , it was free, no charge. She didn’t stop at all of the tables but she always seemed to stop at mine regardless of where I sat ? In hindsight I suspect she probably thought I wasnt getting enough to eat at home since I always ate so much at school…Thankfully that wasn’t the case and we had plenty to eat , but she was hands down one of my favorite faculty members!

During my school years (1980s) I ate PBJ 95% of the time. I suggest bringing your own food if you don't want what is offered.

My kids eat what my wife fixes them. Sometimes they cook or in spring summer and fall walk out and start eating out of the garden. We home school. The kids cary knife and have their guns near also. The teacher are armed and can shoot to.

Take your lunch if you dont like it. I lived 4 years on pizza and fries in high school.

If you're 6'1" you should be able to beat up some smaller kids and take their lunch.

I started school 59 yrs ago...i ate school lunches then and they were good. Nowadays kids get alot of garbage in the lunches. High fructose corn syrup in juices etc.....i really am considering stopping it.
We had alot of good nutritious stuff. First place I had pb and honey sandwich and celery with pb.
