When you guys do your pipe dream sets for coyote do you leave a lot of pipe sticking out of the ground or do you try to hide it in grass?

Matter of choice. I like 1/2” above ground and even then small tuff of grass on top.

I hide all mine generally in tufts of grass/broomsedge. I just want him hunting for it.

I like to drive all but a couple inches into the ground and hide those couple inches in a tuft of grass . The hard part is the remake , it’s hard to make it look natural.

I like mine hidden...........but have seen guys do it both ways.....well, seen guys do everything about the set a million different ways than I first suggested! LOL

With the pipe angling towards the trap, I can see times where perhaps a target animal can make out that black hole down in the grass with some yum-yums in it......

One of my students told me the set was a "dirt hole above ground level".........:)

I have used this set with good success this past summer most of the time the pipe was hidden. I was using recently dried grass clippings then. I did keep some for the wintertime to use but it seem like it has a different odor as it aged some . Anyone have this issue?

What I was trying was powled up everywhere so figured this would look more natural then the grass. Not 100% how it's supposed to be done but sitll
