Not a big book reader wolfie....... I guess with everything you can read on the webb, books are kinda on the bottom of my list. That said I do read a few chapters and verses out of a really old book almost every day.

Just finished “the Road” by Cormac McCarthy. Highly recommend it. I needed a more light hearted read after that one though and grabbed an ol Louis L’amour sackett book.

I will often bounce between 3-4 books at a time and if its a trapping book, rarely from front to back. I have Master Trappers sitting next to me that ive just flipped through. Read jame luceros book in a couple nights, some of it twice. Its not long. Theres a lit of info almost hidden in few words. Ive read a couple chapters of eastern wolfer last night, somewhere in the middle. I also read magazines starting in the middle or toward the end. And go backward. I dont know why.

I read that one several years back. It's definitely not a cheerful story. One part upset me a bit... Bet you know which part too.

A lot of McCarthy's stories are in the same vein with Steinbeck and Hemingway... "Life is hard and then you die" seems to be the general theme.

After seeing both versions of the movie, I finally read the book Dune by Frank Herbert. Finished it last night.

I knew what happened and how it ended before I read it. But it was a pretty good read.

I been reading a 1930's carpentry book. I started the read mainly to learn handsaw sharpening and maintenance, among other old non-electric carpentry tools and use.

The Lexham English Septuagint is what I'm reading now. I need to red Mink, Mary, and Me. It's often mentioned on these book threads.
