Just saw this picture take in the past couple of days in Leavenworth Washington. The amount of snow recently is unbelievable. All the routes (I-90, US Hwy2, State Route 12) have been closed for a couple of days, and probably will be until at least Sunday. Snow avalanches even in low elevation residential areas. Odds are probably not good for these deer in the town of Leavenworth. We are going to make an attempt to get to our lake property tomorrow; taking chainsaws, snowshoes, and lot of gas.

Not good for an already declining deer population

Is that Western Washington or Eastern? Hoping not Eastern…hope the turkeys survive. Eastern Washington. Western Washington had a lot of snow for a few days, but it all melted off like it always does. Eastern Washington is a different story; it will be on the ground all winter now.

I am about 50 miles north of Spokane. We had a chinook blow through yesterday then it cooled off again last night. We still have a couple feet of snow now with a heavy crust over it. If we don't get another melt it will be super hard on the deer. Hopefully it will kill every turkey in the area.

They are an invasive species. They weren't here until some idiot from the game dept. planted them. I can't believe some of the Eco-terrorists aren't pushing for them to be removed because they impact native species like they have for northern pike, walleye, lake trout, brook trout etc.,etc.,etc.

^^^^^^ I guess I'm not the only person who views turkeys as an an invasive species. X3
