Are you on max dose metforman? Have you asked your Dr. about adding Victoza to your daily regimen. Talk to your Dr. and see what he,has to say. Might be worth asking him, her. Hope you get it figured out. Good Luck, best thoughts to ya.

Yes like yotetrapper said . Stop eating sugar, rice ,potatoes, bread, pasta, grains, corn, vegetable oil, No fruit, no bananas, or berries for now. Drink two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with lemon juice or water before your meal.
Skip one meal a day and no snacking in between try to fast for 15-16 hrs if you can.
No beer, pop, fruit juice, sugar drinks, and smokes and your blood sugar will go down.
Do eat, avocados, green leafy vegies, cabbage, seafood, fish, meat, fat, eggs ,butter, nuts, tuna ,sardines, olive oil, coconut oil. in other words . No food from packages, cook real food. Salt your food to taste.
Good luck

Drink lots of water, do not eat anything white just for starters. Like said above a lot of good advice.

Make sure you are well hydrated, if you're not it can cause your blood pressure to be higher.

I have done a lot of the changes suggested above, not all but a lot, and my blood work results done last month were the best in my life.

Yep , if it tastes good , spit it out Not really. You see most foods in America are made with cheap ingredients, or ones that are bad for us. If they used almond flour and coconut oil a Big Mac would be healthy for us. but of course, they didnt. But you can make one yourself. Its the same with cake, cookies, cream cheese pie, ice cream, choclate, most deserts can be made without the bad incrediants yourself and be healthy for you. All you have to do to eat healthy is replace a few ingrediants and stop eating cane/beet sugar. They make Eurthritol, looks and taste just like sugar, why not use it. And wheat flour can be replaced with coconut or almond flour and your back in busness. Eat fruit and berries in season only, once your blood sugars are normal again.

My heart bypass surgery is back on for Jan. 13 2022. It has been postponed 4 times starting in Aug. plug ed up 100 98 58 in three arteries and may need a valve not sure on that yet. But Was there for the test yesterday and now if I can't get my blood sugar below 200 they will have to postpone one more time. So I could use some pointers on how to lower my blood sugar about 100 points by the 13th. I'm on metformin and glipizide now. Any help on what will help would be great. Thanks Larry drink water and all the physical excersize you can manage walking if you can do it do you have a meter? walmart has an inexpensive meter they are 20 dollars and come with some test strips don't eat anything but meat , green vegatable and water till you are down under 120 look at all the labels shoot for 25 carbs a day stress will make your liver push carbs out so being stressed about it won't help walk , move in any way you possibly can as much as you can without causing excersize pulls the sugar from your bloodstream I have tested then 20 minutes of bike ride , pedaling hard and dropped 30 points waiting 30 minutes after the bike ride the challenge will be moving if you have heart problems but anything , pacing back and forth in the house . peddaling a stationary bike anything that burns sugar but you can not put it back in no bread , no sugar , no potatoes , no starchy vegitables even would not eat carrots , peppers , beans , peas , basically just eat lettuce and meat no milk no juice not even fruit right now
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Make sure you are well hydrated, if you're not it can cause your blood pressure to be higher. Dehydration will raise your blood sugar too. Years ago have the flu, got so dehydrated I passed out in a chair. Rescue squad took my bs ... HIGH is all the meter read, over 900. Three days in the hospital for rehydration and I was good to go. But I think running a hose over to the bathroom would have been easier for everyone involved.
