Looks great. Did you bake it in a Dutch oven? I am having a hard time getting mine to not settle when I bake it.

Yes. I put the cast iron Dutch oven and lid in the oven ….and then set the temp to 500 and start the oven. Dutch oven needs a 1/2 hour to get good and hot. Then I turn out my dough onto a piece of Paahchment paper ….and then pick up the ends of the paper and set dough into the smoking hot Dutch. Then put the lid on…and bake for 22 minutes..then remove the lid….and continue baking for anothah 15 minutes. Remove bread and let it rest on a wire rack for 30 minutes before cutting

This is a loaf that I just took out of the oven and the next one ready to go in. Only been making bread for 8 or 9 months. I haven't ventured into sourdough yet.

You have to come ovah to the dark side ….those are loafs # 3 & 4 for me in sourdough. No more commercial yeast for me. The crust is so much bettah…as well as the flavorful spongy insides. Like your self..I started out baking bread with yeast…about 2 years…before I made the jump.
