I just ordered another 2 dozen new RC 550 to go with the 3 dozen I bought at the NTA last summer. Still haven't set them. I figure if the 550 would not catch it I would try the 450 FH and see how it worked out. Heck I just ordered 5 dozen of them too. Going to put extra swivel in the middle of the chain and 12" super stakes on. Y'all think them things will work?????? If nothing else I am going to hoard some traps. All them folks hoarding toilet paper and such, I am hoarding me some steel traps. I can wipe my (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) with leaves if needed.

LOL, Mr. Howard, I don't think you'll be disappointed in your purchase. It's probably a very good investment, considering the ever increasing price of steel.

The 550 and 450 are the best foothold of that size, have both for many years, the 550 is best fox/coyote foothold made so far, only the Sterling MJ 600 is a better coyote trap for snow weather trapping, for the price and use ability the 550 is the BEST OF THE BEST.There new Alpha is a great trap, but I think the 550 is still the KING!

Paul, you know exactly what I am doing. Don't really need them yet, but I sure don't want to run out. Steel is going through the roof and supplies of everything is getting low. Funny, the majority of my existing 550's have the old original crock dog they came with back in the day. Still holds coyotes by two toes. I need to come in here more offend that is for sure.

Looking at fur prices, I think you can find something more pleasant to wipe with than leaves. wink
