I was checking traps this morning when I came to one dead in a trap. By all the signs, I think deer stomped him to death. The ground for 15 ft around the coyote was solid deer tracks. The coyote had lost a fair amount of blood and a lot of fur. He got worked over pretty good. Of all days to forget my phone. It was 2 miles off the road out in a sandhill pasture on private ground, so I'm sure it wasn't by man. Anybody ever see deer do that?

Seen a deer stomp the heck out of a dog so a yote that couldn't get away would be in trouble.

Wasn't worth skinning, he lost so much fur.

Never had one stomped, but I had one killed and partially buried the other morning. Kinda like a cat....but we don't have any big cats in N.C., so "they" say.
I've got a camera on it, maybe whatever killed it will show back up?

Right on both counts. I about got that treatment, or they were gonna die, when two mule deer does came to the call one morning. Had the gun up, and waving my hat, they were less than six feet in front of me, and I didn’t think they were gonna listen to me!

Bobcat will scratch leaves over deer. It will look like someone did it with a leaf rake.

Haven’t lost a yote yet to cattle. On this day I got the feeling if this was on the other side of the fence that yote would have had his paws full. That cow was looking at the yote like he owed her money. Lol

I was deer hunting once and saw 5 deer run to a spot and jump up and down, then run to another spot and jump up and down. They did this 6 to 7 times before I could see what was going on. THey were chasing a bobcat. That dang cat would hide in a bush and them nanny's would rear up and kick the heck out of that cat with their front feet. Perty dang funny.

In my experience horses are the worst for stomping a coyote, the best ones will stomp a dog if he isnt on his best behavior.

I'd say buckin horses are the worst but then I'd end up with a bucket load of (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) from Yessir so I admit nothin!
cool
