Thanks to all you guys.
Yes, I am very proud of my dad's service to his Country and to God.
I'm attaching a photo that was taken after he and his buddies in the 503rd had retaken Corregidor.
Several guys can be seen in the picture taking photos; my dad is one of the two guys (he could never figure out which one he was) kneeling on the ground with their cameras.

Millions of people have prospered due to your father and his fellow soldiers heroism. That is a legacy few can imagine, yet your father was part of it. Simply amazing. You have much to be proud of. My father was in Europe for that war with the 3rd Army, they were truly the "greatest generation". Peace be with you and your loved ones.
