There made for anchoring off to tree's or dead poles for under ice snaring usually 9 or 11 gauge support wire

You don't have to use the full loop. Pull it back through so the loop is smaller and wrap it with a piece of electrical tape or bread tie around the wire. It just has to hold the loop until the animal pulls it closed. The wire on them is the swivel, support and anchor.

I'd be loading those loops too if I were going to use them.

What are you planning on using them for?
You could drive the wire into the ground and use It as a support.
Looks like they aren't WI legal unless you place them In the water.

Beav-I’ve got a pioneers permit so I can set snares on dry land in Wisconsin kinda like setting your Christmas present from Bill Duke.No actually my buddy from Minnesota is trying to eradicate all the rabbits from a blue berry patch and the baited conibears kind of quit working.

Snug those snares down to about a 4" loop and hang them in the rabbit runs. Cut some sticks wire the snare to the stick and shove It In the ground to stabilize the snare. Any way that's how the Hailstones do It On life below zero.
You won't have to load the snare since when you you pull It down to that 4" loop size It will become round.

But I would think that non baited body grips placed In the rabbit runs would work as good as snares or maybe better.

Nope. You can and should load them snares for a 4" loop. You adjust the loading for the size loop you'll be using. You can make that 4" loop slam down to 1 1/2" loop with just a little tug on the cable. You'd get to eat them rabbits then as opposed to them staying alive and attracting every predator for a mile to tear them to pieces.

With the right cable you can get that even smaller. Say 3/64th 7x7 for mink snares

Wire works a lot better for rabbits than cable, and cheaper too if setting out a rabbit line with lots of snares.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

laugh I bet that wire is a lot more flexible than that 7x7 3/32" cable.

I'd probably go this route too and he just as well sell those snares he has to buy the wire unless he wants to snare under ice beaver.
