I hope the dinosaurs come back. Alligator is good and aren't they a dinosaur? I bet Trex would be more fun than a grizzly bear hunt. When I was in school and all the experts were telling us another ice age would soon be upon us I thought a wooly mammoth would be fun. It seems our ancestors liked to eat them. I cant imagine hunting them with a sharp rock tied to a stick if the meat wasn't real tasty.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

General concensus is that the world was warmer in the time of the dinosaurs. And obviously colder during the time of the mammoth. I wonder what a stretched and dried mammoth hide would bring in today's market... $7 to $8 maybe. But I bet you could make a lot of boots and bags out of tanned T-Rex leather. Not sure I'd want to try and trap either one... I'd break the frame on my truck toting one appropriate size longspring. Maybe a .50 BMG... Get Nosler to make a BIG Partition for it Mike

The goal is not any target temp. The goal is simply control over you and me. And money.

Cyclone activity is much less now than it was 90 years ago. The hurricanes in the 1930’s were terrible. I believe the 1950’s were close to the 30’s but don’t quote me on that. If you’re talking dollars worth of damage by natural disasters like fire, drought or storms it’s more now because there are lots more people then there was 100 years ago. Headlines that read “Most Costly Storm Ever” are never put into prospective. People just read them and think the world is ending. I believe man can make a mess of the environment but change the climate is a solid No.

They are planting a solar farm near here which is taking up 3 or 4 thousand acres. They have engulfed a few farm houses with their all look alike scenery. Much of it was marginal farm land, still farmland that did produce food and oxygen. Looks like they are leaving a margin along the highways, hopefully for planting tree or bushes to block the wonderful view of their man made green project. Where is Lady Bird Johnson when we need her ? Sounds like a lot of ruined wildlife habitat too.
