What you get for $90 here in SD it’s better then the print it on paper and stuff it in your wallet for a year and you can’t unfold it.

You have to print your own off here. I think if you have one of those fancy phones you can just have it on your phone as well.

I’m old school no clue how to scan so I take a photo of my screen. LOL Many places let you print out copy of your license on paper then you put it in a plastic bag or cover it with clear tape. No clue how to scan a code never tried it. You would think for what you pay for a license you would get a weather proof license.

The plastic card was a extra $5 plus a $8 issuing fee for the license that you do the work to get it. SMH

we have had go-wild cards and our fishing and hunting license linked to our drivers licenses

however in boundary waters and >5 miles out on Michigan or Superior you have to carry the paper copy you print off.

I got the feeling that Madison way over sold the go-wild card idea when they came out , the first time I handed the warden my Go-wild card and he groaned cause he was going to have to walk around till he got cell signal, and I could lookup the river and see the water tower with a cell site on it in the distance. it just wasn't his carrier apparently.

GCP-Over here on the River we have to carry a paper copy while hunting because the Feds don't have the authority to access the State licensing system like the State LEO's do. I would suppose the same holds true for fishing.

Michigan would never do that. Cheaper to print out the plastic paper license. Then all the other pieces you need if Beaver/Otter trapping.

If you get an animal that's out of season, there's the accidental catch tag. Then there's the extra tags you need for Bobcat trapping(3). But you can't have anymore than 2 animals.

Tags for Otter, limited to 3. But only 2 in possession from specific areas.

Way too many rules and not enough common sense.
