Missouri recently decided peoples rights were important and quit requiring permission to be armed. Now this???? Who woulda thunk it?

In a year when many U.S. cities saw a substantial increase in killings, St. Louis bucked the trend in 2021 — a dose of good news for a city that for decades has had among the worst homicide rates in the nation.

The number of killings in St. Louis dropped 25% to 196 in 2021 compared to 263 in 2020. It marks a return to pre-COVID-19 levels; St. Louis police recorded 194 killings in 2019 and 186 in 2018

Of course Yahoo says the drop is due to something else and things would be even better with more trampling of peoples rights. Hard to read that stuff and not have my blood pressure go up. I suspect the good people of Missouri and St louis know better.

This is no surprise FL proved the concept years ago when the passed a CC law.

Criminals and terrorists much prefer an unarmed victim

And just to clarify, so do senators but they fall into either the criminal or terrorist groups I mentioned

When you suspect that everyone one is carrying a lethal weapon, you tend to be more genteel.

If i was supreme overlord i would make it mandatory for everyone to carry at all times. Strapped right on their hip or slung over their shoulders. Firearms safety, marksmanship, and minor small unit movement, classes of when and where to use lethal force, and what the laws are would be mandatory in high school.

The vast majority of the stupidity would end very quickly.

Agree, 100%, but I would ask that you as supreme overlord to add a civics class.
They have done away with civics in school, don't want kids growing up actually knowing how our government works. And it's not PC.

Have drug crimes gone down. I can’t back up my opinion, but I think most violent crimes occur with gangs and drug use as a root cause.

a huge force multiplier where 5.5 pounds of trigger pull = 300fpe out the other side

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Charles, a big chunk of St Louis is a cesspool. Drugs are rampant and so are gangs. I agree with your assessment. Its why shootings and other violent crime only went down 25%. Those folks are armed and routinely kill each other no matter what the law says. The law abiding are arming themselves now also. Defending themselves. Not near so lucrative to assault them.
