Some folks will dump in too much silver solder and it can plug up things you don't want plugged up. Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I have built bandsaw blades for years, and will last as well or better than resistance welded blades. Have to use a cleaned and fluxed joint, with proper amount of heat, turn it red evenly with just enough heat to make it flow.
