Sitting around today in my shop having a beer. I'm looking around and thinking about things in general. Where I've been, the struggle, where I'm at now. I'm sitting there realizing that every single thing that surrounds me, every splinter, every tool, every grease spot. I own! I've bought and paid for it all. I have no debt (when it comes to the shop) and very little debt after the shop. I owe few anything and I owe most nothing. A great place to be in life and I've struggled to get here. It feels good!

I BELIEVE IN MY GOD, MY COUNTRY AND IN MYSELF.

The bad thing about not owing money is your credit score drops that’s just nuts. I paid off everything and my score dropped 20+ points. LOL

Law Dog is spot on. My wife and I haven't had any debt in 30 years and once when I tried to rent a car in the states they told me I couldn't because of my poor credit score. Funny.

Congrats to you Finster.... it is a good feeling.

Pete

Well done, Finster! I try to operate on the same principal. Can you imagine what the country would be like if everyone did?

It is an awesome feeling. Even on a smaller scale, every time I finish a project, I step back, look at it and feel proud that I made something.

Congratulations, keep working on the rest of the debt. If you don't have debt, your credit score is meaningless.

It's a freeing feeling. I haven't made a car payment since 1985. I have a home mortgage and a second property mortgage that's about to be paid off. I have no idea what my credit score is and couldn't care less.

Scores are becoming less relevant now anyway, the banks are begging people to take there fiat currency.

Congrats. It's a fantastic feeling for sure.
Law Dog, you're lucky. When I paid my debt off my score dropped 40-60 points depending which system you looked into.

People ask me how I bought a house while being on ssi. I tell them I have 0 debt and good credit. 1 credit card is mainly used for auto insurance so that's paid off right away. The other card is used for "big purchases" and I pay it off within a week. That credit card gives purchases a 5 year warranty automatically so I don't buy extended warranty.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
