Really, when you think about it (or at least when I think about it) the market should not be 24,000 higher than it was 12 years ago.....that is just absurd as I see it....but I am not an expert on this stuff so it is just a 'gut' feeling that I have.

You're talking about the Dow and, quite frankly, no one pays much attention to it any more. But it is structured differently than the S & P 500 . The Dow is price weighted so higher priced stocks have a larger influence than lower priced stocks. Consequently, a stock like AAPL.....which is in the Dow 30 has a lot more influence in the 'average' since APPL is trading around 173$ than a smaller, non tech type of company that is trading at $35.
The S&P is really the better indicator.
appreciate that info.

If there wasn’t anything to hide why buy them thru a trust fund ? Unless there's some kind of insider trading going on, what is there to hide? Unless theres a bunch of russian or Chinese people on the board of the trust, i dont see the problem.

If there wasn’t anything to hide why buy them thru a trust fund ? If they were trying to hide something why would the transaction be reported ? Using a family trust is likely a tax avoidance mechanism for further down the road. Nothing illegal or unethical about it. In fact, everyone should strive to pay as little tax as possible at all times........IMO
