Some of the old timers used to talk about sand drifts instead of snow drifts relative to the 1930's. Still my question is did the farming practices cause the drought or did the drought just compound the faulty farming practices.

The big weather factors my mom and dad always talked about was the drought in '36 and the flood in '37.

I remember commuting to work in the early 70s. I crossed over the mouth of a city lake. It was frozen solid for 8-10 weeks. Now it doesn't freeze over at all.

No Kidding, everyone was scared of a NEW ICE AGE coming in the 1970s because of the cold weather trends. Turns out that was all political too.

Look up the Malinkovitch cycles. And don't just go to Wikipedia
Do a little research and you might just pour the rest of your cool aid done the drain

People talk like this global warming and co2 is a bad thing, I am pretty sure its what is contributing to the increased yields in crops needed to feed the ever increasing population.

Hey on the bright side it beats the ice age we were supposed to have back in the 70s and 80s. Really dodged a bullet on that one.

Go back through Time Magazine's apocalyptic covers and you'll find about every conceivable doomsday scenario spawned by the mind of man. They're consistent in their doomsdayism and need for Americans to yield some of their rights in order to save the planet.

Besides Charles, in 3 pages, everyone agrees that this is all a bunch of malarkey. So where is this majority of believers the leftist media keeps claiming are out there? I only know two personally out of a huge number of people.

While 75 years represents a significantly lengthy amount of time for someone to remain ignorant, it represents a minuscule amount of time when discussing the entire world's climate history.
