I don't know what you have for a pump house or are heating it with now, but even a light bulb can make a difference in keeping pipes thawed if you put it close to the pipes.

I have never regretted my decision to hook into rural water. Still have the well and pump house and use it for the animals and garden some, but if it goes down no big deal.

I've used the 100 watt incandescent bulb as a heater for years , pumphouse is well insulated , never had a problem.

I don't need heat until about 12 degrees the mice ate all the insulation up but pipes have foam insulation. I'm looking for the thick Styrofoam to line the walls with. My pumphouse is a wooden structure and a bit drafty so lightbulb won't do it. I just use a Milkhouse heater below 12.

Lowe’s here in Goldsboro sells a spray foam kit for about 150 that looks like it would work great for small insulation jobs like a pump house

It's usually the 1/4" shoulder nipple below the pressure switch that freezes up first
Glad you got it flowing

I had to charge a quad and forgot I unplugged the extension to pumphouse. The thieves who stole everything here unhooked my electric line in pumphouse. I guess I best wire it back up.
