It won't even know it's back there. I pull a 7000 pound camper 65 mph easily. Your already crappy gas mileage will get worse though.

I have a 2008 with the 5.7L and tow package. it s rated to haul up to 10,000 lbs.

I haul my 6,500 lb. Kubota on my 2,500 lb. Towmaster trailer up to my camp (250 miles) a couple times a year.

The Tundra has plenty of power to do that, even on the steep hills.

Make sure your trailer has good brakes that are adjusted and functioning properly or you'll wear your truck brakes out.

Eh...wot?

I have a 2016 with the 4.6 V8. I pulled a 4600 lb New Holland about 60 plus miles on a double axle trailer. Thats the heaviest thing Ive pulled with it

It was all it wanted. And fuel mileage was about 12 mpg during that trip.

In short, my Tundra doesn't do well pulling heavy loads....you can tell its back there.

That's because you're missing 71 HP, and 74 Lb. Ft. of torque, the difference between a 4.6L and 5.7L.

Eh...wot?

Lugnuts got it right. Gas mileage suffers on the haul but the truck pulls with no issues.

Sorry, I can't help with your question. But you might try asking a group with more Jap. truck owners. Don't forget this is a site with REAL Americans. With REAL American values. Make America Great Again, buy Toyota, n Kubota. n other Jap stuff. Just my opinion others are free to have their own. And I can bet they do. With full justification n everything.
Case.

My Tundra was made in Texas. If you drive a Silverado, it may have been made in Mexico.

My Tundra was assembled in the US with US labor. Wife had a Ford Freestar van that was made in Canada. My wife's current Toyota Sienna van was assembled in the US with US labor.

Thanks for making my point, but I was referring to the Silverado. My 2014 Tundra was also made in Texas. Not sure where My 2008 Silverado was made, but I do know, when I purchased it I should have also bought stocks in NAPA or other parts stores.

I buy whatever brand name gives me the biggest bang for my buck. The American auto manufacturers haven't been able to do that in a long time. If they want my money they better start building better quality vehicles.

As stated above, many Toyota vehicles are built right here unlike some of the "American" companies.
