Here it is

12 coyotes $580 Canadian $48.30 average
American $462.23 average $38.52

5 fox $45 Canadian $9 average
American $35.86 average $7.17

Only saw 2 guys at the buyers but I was early. Guy in front of me had 8 decent coyotes- he sold for $22 Canadian average. Guy behind me had beaver and castor. They said they were paying $100 Canadian for castor which works out to $79.69 American

Needless to say they didn’t get anything from me. I believe they are buying on speculation and I would offer the same if I was buying and hope you could make some money on them.

I believe other markets or auction will do better. Time will tell

Well a top of the line 4wd pickup today is about 75000 U.S. So I am thinking those gorgeous pelts you posted ought to average 7500. I doubt that happens in my lifetime but if your going to get wishful why wish small? grin

Well see how many guys keep trapping coyotes for money like that or lack of. Saskatchewan has some of the best coyotes in the world my will go to FHA at least competitive bidding only thing her we don't have pick up other option for me is Colorado Auction but will have to see. My fur last year did very well at FHA especially cats and was surprised at my coyotes since I had mostly semi heavy. Did they grade those at all or just nose count.

Last year is past history, This year is all that that counts with this year's fur. Again since November the word has been "lower" prices, "50-60% off last year," "no demand for anything but heavy pales", and here we are January, and everyone is surprised at the market.

Very few routes being run, record amounts of buyers out of the game, and those still in it are "thieves". All the information available at ones fingertips but most have their fingers up their butts apparently!

I sure that some of you are right on the fox and have heard something that I haven't. I would love to get any thing above $15 ave on fox. Realistically, GFW low balls a lot of people with excellent fur to make up for the other poor fur that they take in. My guess is $47.5 Ave on the coyotes even though they should be worth twice that and $8.25 on the Fox.

Interesting that FHA is not giving out any advances of coyotes this year......that should tell you something about the bottom line and where it is at for western heavys.

Good for you, Saskers. I’d buy those foxes for the wife’s vest. Bring them when you come for the NTA.

Thanks Lee. You still need to catch a coyote this year. I know your weather sucks right now.

I dont think hes far off on the real value of those coyotes if sold in graded lots at the auction.

I believe you might be wrong. I have a sale pending for 110 coyotes. It puts that offer to shame…..
