The New Holland tractors are pretty nice. I have one its older but still works great. One thought is what dealerships for what brand do you have close to you so your are not driving hours for parts if ever needed.. Closest dealer is Massey Ferguson about 5 miles. Everything else is going to be 45 miles plus. They only had 1 on the lot it was nice but out of my price range.

Kubota.
I've had my L35 for twenty-plus years and it's been used hard for my business and for personal use. It has a BT900 backhoe attachment that can dig to nine feet. It's an incredibly useful, versatile and durable machine. If the new Bota's are anything like the older ones then that's what you should buy.
Eh...wot?

I bought a Ford diesel with Japanese engine. So far so good. I still need a couple extras for it. Close dealer IS handy.

I would got with the Massey because of the dealer being that close. I run a 35hp Yanmar myself and really like it. I use it for everything you describe and then some.

Stay away from the grey market tractors. Hard to find parts for them. If you can't find a parts or repair manual for them you can't get parts.

Look for a low hours Kubota L3800, doesnt have computer and regen requirements, great tractor. Or a low hours L3900, which has the computer and regen system. I use my 3800 for everything you listed and its been solid. X2, my 3710 is worth more now than when I purchased it.

The dealer was 45 min away but I never needed them. Bought most of my consumable parts (oil filters, air filters, etc) from Messicks on-line. It was far less expensive than a JD and every bit as good IMO. Put a front end loader on it and wished I had done that sooner.

John Deere. Excellent quality. Top resale value and great product support. This has not been my experience. My experience has been high cost, poor reliability, horrible service. But we have 2 dealers within a 40 min drive. Also have a relative who works for Deere, he and his family have a farm. They used to run Deere. Now they have switched to Massey. Ps this is coming from someone who runs a Deere 7-8 hours a day.
