Right now at my local Walmart. Didn't pick up any still waiting for thunderbolts to come back. What's so special about these yellow boxes btw ? $40 for 300 ?

They been here for months . Super X ammo has been higher than others my entire life. Just in the past it was 50 cents not 10 dollars.

Frankly, thunder bolts are junk. CCI are what you want.

Bought the same yellow box in Walmart in Sheridan WY a week and a half ago for 21 bucks.
They had CCI Mini mags for ten dollars a hundred.

I can't believe that cop put me in the back seat when I clearly called shotgun.

There is nothing specel about the winchesters that just a 100 year anniversary box. I would buy the cci sv. They shoot great out of all our guns. I have a 20 mm ammo can full of them so im low.

Guess I'll have to pick up a box or two and try them again. Last time I tried em I couldn't get them to shoot well at all for some reason out of most of my guns confused which is weird because everyone talks about how good they are. For $4 what could it hurt lol

Guess I need to get rid of my Federal bulk packs and invest in the magic CCI now too.

I cant remember when the last time I had a cci misfire. But its common for me witha lot of other brands to have a few. Most any will shoot well enough to head shoot things with except my 11 year olds marlin. That thing is picky.

that is a good price on CCI standard velocity cost was right about 350 last fall on a direct order for the youth shooting sports program from Vista

I like the CCI they are my go to target round for 22lr

the golden bullets from Rem or the Winchester 36gr hollow points fo federal 555 pack 36gr hollow points don't shoot as well for me but work better for coon dispatch nd I don't need much accuracy for the short distance stuff

Id theyre comin back in for that price, nows the time to pick up a couple boxes whenever u see them. When Joe starts poopin his pants during his rare public appearances and Kameltoe ends up indicted or has a nervous breakdown, there will be another ammo shortage when Pelosi is President.

Regarding 22 ammo. Is it just my imagination, but I don't recall that when I was a kid (1970's) that I had 22 duds after carrying around 22 shells in my seemingly always damp/wet pants pockets. But now, I have lots of duds after 22 shells get wet.
Is something different about how they are made now?

i have occasional jams with most ammo in semi auto .22 pistols, but never with CCI mini mags. recently tried the CCI blazers and had the same great results.

Nice to see ammo back in the shelf.

I shoot both CCI and thunder. Whatever I grab as long as the bullet is 40gr and roughly same velocity, I don’t notice any difference. Maybe you shooters experience differently.

I think they used to have more wax/lube that helped to seal them up

I have wondered about taking a small pot of warm bullet lube and dipping the bullet in just past the bullet case connection then setting it in a tray to drip and cool if that might help

might lead to more chamber cleaning also

it would take a lot to get a good test base

I also load most of my walking around ammo in a spare mag these days and carry the spare mag in a shirt pocket so I don't have much of an issue myself

I always liked the standard velocity better.

I love shooting winchester super x power points. my Sako will put 5 shots in pretty much the same hole. I like solid point for squirrel hunting. Can't find them very often around here tho
