I agree with everything said. I tried this low carb, high protein diet and it works. I lost 10 pounds in a short time. The only drawback I found was constipation big time. I tried to overcome it by taking Metamucil which didn't help much. I ended up taking Miralax and that worked. But, your body will start to depend on it, which isn't good, according to my doctor.

Praying that everything will work out for you.

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

GCP said,
look at all the labels shoot for 25 carbs a day.

That will be more than good if you can do it. However, carb daily intake for Keto is 50 gr of carbs per day or less.

Low carb is considered to be 130 gr of carbs per day or less. Both will get you on the right track for recovery.

But, you need to add as many veggies as you can to your diet.

Think homemade veggie soup. (leave out the cooked carrots). Think cabbage, onions, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, green beans, celery etc. If you make soup with beef stock brown a little venison or beef burger and mix in with the soup after cooked.

Add an avocado a day to your diet if you can. Put on top of or with scabbled eggs for breakfast (along with some bacon). Or with a tossed salad, or cut in half and just spoon out of the shell. Artichokes are another good source of fiber. Stores carry them already quartered in glass jars. Put a few on top of your salad. And don't forget to add some olives.

Ken Berry above is a good source of info. Also Dr. Steven Gundry, or Dr Mark Hyman at the Cleveland Clinic. They both do routine podcasts on You tube.

I'd like to add, eating fat does NOT make you fat. It's actually proven in the last 15 years to be more healthy than the US recommended food pyramid way of eating.
Here's a couple to watch.

The average Dr doesn't know half of this information. I had to "educate" my Dr concerning these topics.

Doctors were lied to in med school by the food industry and drug companies. It dont pay to cure people it pays to get them on prescriptions and thats what they do.
most ailments can be cured with a simple diet change.
