Almost had a pullout this morn. Coyote was fighting trap hard, didn't even hear or see us pull up. Moron got down went over and stared at yote, yote stops fighting trap stares at Moron, I got pistol out of bucket, Moron heads to feed cart, yote cowered down and stares at me, one second later it's all over. Looked at front foot had him by first two toes right behind first pads after toe nails. 10 more minutes he'd been gone with some valuable experience. Moral of story, there's always a place for a good trapline dog.

Not his real name, we call all of our dogs (3) call names, don't want to holler -yada yada yada of yada yada kennels- just to get them to come, sit, heel, fetch. He got that name as a puppy because he constantly tried to bite the tractor tires while I was moving, Almost got him a couple times. It fits. Little smiley thingy.
Ava, is much longer, Barron is actually Barron the 2nd. Have a litter due in ~5 weeks, thinking of Barron the 3rd. Have to wait and see there individual personalities.

Thank you.

He is "Frederick Von Hufeisenkurve" by the way, not exactly easy to get out quickly.

1.75 Vic. Coil. 24 in crossed rebar stakes washer welded on top 1 in-line swivel, 6 in. Welded chain, same as I've used for ever. Same as I use for fox, coon. Have others but more of these than any. I only trap nowadays to protect cattle in winter pasture. If I have 20 traps set at one time it's by mistake. Well a few colonie traps in ditch for bait. Same fence lines n cross fences. Run'em at 4am feed n water, in for 2nd cup of coffee. Peel'em after mass on Sunday.
