Only thing to do is turn the fox loose and kill every coyote. I know, what’s the use? It feels good at the end of the day at least. You will see your fox living closer to/with humans. To be completely honest I almost let it go. It was super small anyways. I put a catch pole on it and checked the gender….little female! But I dispatched her anyways and I’ve kinda regretted it all morning.

We got as many coyotes as any other state far as I can tell. Most states have less. We still have fox. They pretty much are all in small towns. Coyotes and bobcats don't like town much. The reds do pretty good eating pet food, garbage, roosting birds and rodents. Their litters try to leave and occasionally you will catch one outside of town but not often. Big red fox catches are just not going to happen with a lot of coyotes around.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)
