I have a gator tx .it is slow and old but gets used every day. Belt driven ans will slip if you splash through a flooded field. We bought it used from family and got our moneys worth. Im wanting to add another sxs bit another gator is 10k now. For 13k i would rather get the honda 4 seater.

I have a 2021 can am defender hd10 limited. For a utility machine it is very comfortable and has tons of power and great stability. I can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve just turned 900 miles on it and so far no problems. Only thing was a coolant leak when it got way below zero cause of cheap hose clamps. Heater will cook me out even when below zero. I would have pulled my traps if it wasn’t for an enclosed cab and actually enjoyed days when it was -18.

But, never had it stuck. It pulls itself well thru bad mud.

I have a 2021 CFMoto Uforce 1000. I use it to check traps, put on 50 miles a day. 1600 miles and so far no problems. Does 70 mph, although I don't run it anywhere that fast. It comes standard with power steering, winch and roof for around $13,000. 5 or 6000 less than a Polaris Ranger. Its made in China, but look at the parts on a Polaris. I did add windshield, rear glass, full doors and heater for another $3000.

Just got a Honda Pioneer 700 in Sept. so far so good my 2012 Polaris 800 a piece of junk that has been in the shop for a year and half and going on $3000,00 in repair so far fix one thing another goes wrong. The Polaris has been a piece of junk from the start I am sure over the years I have the price of a new one in repairs on this one hope they go out of business.

I've been looking for a SxS also. Been thinking about the Honda Pioneer 520. It's small enough to fit in a truck bed at 50" width. Can't find any nearby to go check out though. I wish they made the same chasis with the larger 2 cyl engine.

I have a polaris Ranger 900. Nothing wrong with it, good machine I put a lot of miles on it. Price has went WAAAY up on these things lately, I'm always looking for a deal, but if money wasn't the object I would go for a Can Am or Honda as a second choice. The Polaris Rangers are cheaper just because there is so many of them around here. Supply and demand.

If you find what you want new or used, don’t blink because they sell almost immediately.
Two people tried to buy my new Pioneer while we were checking it over in the showroom.

Im not a side by side expert BUT a company was clearing power lines last summer and found a sick deer i had to go get samples from and they were all running can am's. So i talked to them about the polaris rangers, etc. and they told me they are so rough on the machines the ranger's couldn't take it and they went with can am's cause they can take the daily beating they give them.

So if it was me and i could afford one that's what id get but i have no clue what a can am cost, figure it's a nice price if they are the toughest machines out there.

I work at Lowes and in December, employees get a 20 percent discount so I was eyeballing that thing but I don't want to spend a ton of money on junk, either.

I was considering Can Am BUT I've always been a fan of Honda ATVs... I had no idea how their side by sides are, but judging from this post they're pretty good. Not ready to buy, still saving up, but also good to know about the wait time on them too.

I guess once I have enough money saved up I'll be looking at Honda, or possibly Can Am.

Kawasaki Teryx is a great reliable machine. My wife works at a shop that sells Kaw, Can am. and CF Moto. after a lot of research we decided on the Kawasaki and are not disappointed

It depends on what you are going to use it for, I have a distinct dislike for anything Polaris we had them at work we had RZRs and older Rangers, I know a lot of people really like them but it is the only machine that I have ever had to be pulled out of the woods using and I have had to be pulled out several times with the Polaris UTVs they are constantly breaking down, usually in the electrical system or the axles. I used to say the only piece of equipment that we had in the fleet that required more maintenance was the helicopters. The Rangers did seem to be better than the RZRs.

We have a Kawasaki Mule that we use on the farm and for that use it is great, it would not be a good machine for going on fun rides, it rides rough, and is slow but it is as reliable as the sun coming up in the morning and will haul 500 pounds of feed with no issues. I really like the bench seat on the Mule as it allows you to get into or out of it from either side. It uses older technology has very little in the way of electronics and is easy to work on. Now at work we also had some Kubotas and there again they are not real fast but they are a tank and caused zero issues. I have a friend that has the smaller Honda pioneer and absolutely loves it as a work horse machine and has had zero issues with it but he doesn't work it he just uses it for riding around and hunting.

I don't have any experience with the newer sport machines but a fella that lives down the road who is real serious about mudding and rock climbing swears by the Can-am

The ones at work all are enclosed with heat and air. Im guessing yoy aee not 6'6" and 350 lb like the big guys I was refering to. I said tall but they are also heavy. Just going by what they say. They also ride them all over instead of walking. Wonder why they are so heavy?
