I put PIT pans on a few 14s and that fixed some of their problems.

I use mostly MB 750s but they have problems too. Bridgers seem to have the least problems. I have a WCS but haven't used it enough to compare.

best trap with poor setting still always the worst one, you must use the right trap at the right place at the right method Why do you have to bring logic and common sense into it.

You should try the TS85's dave. They are very easy to set by hand. You could not set a CDR, or I could barely do it but I can set MB750's without a setter. CDRs have stronger springs. Nice.
