Hey guys, haven't been on here for awhile but I need help from experts. I'd like to save what hearing I have left and looking for a suppressor for calling. What do you all recomend. I'd like a multi cal from .30 on down.
Thank.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

It depends way more than just the caliber to be honest with you. Do you have a standard weight bullet you are going to be shooting? Do you just want to take the crack out of a supersonic shot or will you be shooting subsonic rounds? Is the firearm a semi auto, bolt action, lever action? I don't mean to play 20 questions, but these are all things I would ask if you asked me to make a suppressor.

https://www.griffinarmament.com/30sd-k-7-62mm-qd-silencer/ for the .30’s down to .556. No barrel length restrictions for its use.

Rimfire specific cans are much better suited to the .22/.17 hosts than a multi cal. due to size/weight. https://deadairsilencers.com/products/mask/

x2 on the Banish 30. I can't say I've used other brands, but I am using the Banish on all my calibers and am very pleased.

30 cal yankee hill machine phantom m2 for me. Idk if they still make them or not. I would look at the above recommended stuff. I have used gemtech and dead air suppressors before. They all do good. Some may be slightly better than others but you probably would need a machine to tell you the difference. I have a quick detach system for mine, it is nice however buying a 75 dollar brake/mount for each rifle is expensive. i may have went with a direct thread on and used some adaptors if i did it again.

I was at a gunshow a few weeks ago and the salesman for Silencer Central was telling a guy that Coyotes dont even hear the rifle go off. Any time he calls in multiples they just stand there. I didn't walk over and say anything, just shook my head and walked away. I have heard many rifles with silencer on them and you do hear them. If shooting subsonic round that different. Also i shooting a AR-15 you have the rifle cycling that makes a lot of noise.

I've got 3 silencers (waiting on my 4th), and I think it's kind of like comparing pickup trucks. They've all got slightly different features but will do basically the same thing (get you down below 130dB).

Is it a big deal to put one on a Ruger varmit barrel , and also have it fit a regular barrel ?

Ordered my first one last July. I think I may order my second one with the new E form and probably get it before I get my first one.

Why do you have to purchase a license for a suppressor?
