Has anybody been watching this lately? If so, is it just me or has it become more and more boring?

Its a show you put on the background, not something you sit around and watch. Just wonder who is putting up the the money to film that show and to fund that dig. The people who keep watching it! Views equal advertising dollars.

It has to be costing a fortune to do all that drilling alone. The pretext that there is a treasure 170 feet deep in the ground that pirates buried is absurd for a number of reasons. What would be the reason they would have done that? How were they able to bury it that deep with their primitive digging tools when modern day equipment can't in trying to recover it? Why would they booby trap it if they ever planned to recover it?
I do like the finds Gary, the metal detector guy comes up with. But I wonder, how many of those are salted ahead of time?

This is all based on a true mystery. The original site was discovered and excavated (with shovels). Every 10 feet, they reached a platform of logs. Each time, they thought that the treasure would be under it. After this bunch of yayhooes made the dig at the original site, and destroyd it, they simply followed the plot of the fiction writers. I haven't watched it in 5 years.

I hadn't watched it in a couple of seasons. But, there wasn't much on last night so I thought I'd check it out. My opinion was it has gotten even more boring since the last time I watched it.

I wonder about the human bones found in the deep digs. One was a young oriental girls remains ? Why are they down there ? As far as the treasure , I think the ex slave cabbage farmer got most of it. He died one of the riches people in Nova Scotia. We all know that farming a few island lots isn't the logical way that happens. All the tunneling and such isn't done by a ship full of pirates. Massive manpower involved in all the processes required. Probably never know the real story . I too am getting really bored with the speed of discovery and usually get updates from on demand every few episodes. It shows opposite "Life below Zero : Next generation" that's what i watch.

I think you may be right about the ex-slave. You don't get rich selling cabbages. But, somehow he did. Pirates could have buried treasure there and he found it. But, it wasn't 170 feet underground either.

The only treasure is all in TV ratings. Like all of the other reality programs out there it needs drama to keep people watching. Only seen one of the first programs before moving on.

I don't know if treasure will ever be recovered but the island seems to have an interesting history to decipher. Of coarse the show drags it all out for maximum profit it's TV. I have only seen some episodes on Defy channel. I want to know if they are ever going after the theorized sunken ship. Must be saving it for ratings, lol.

The last couple seasons they dug up a whole bunch of stuff. Its finally getting interesting from all the stuff they are finding all over the island. If anyone got bored with it a few seasons back i suggest try catching up on a rainy day. I quite enjoy watching it and it is one of the few ongoing shows we keep up with.
