I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

Well I was looking at them and thought that being 1/2 the size of a SWT Ski Doo they would be 1/2 the cost boy did I get an eye opener!

They have gotten popular in just the last few years, but have been out a long time. I think they finally designed some that the average person can kind of keep upright, so they got more popular. I just wish they would design one that would go in a straight line, everytime I come across their tracks they are weaving back and forth like they are drunk. In deep snow pulling a sled those deep ruts they cut when they get on the throttle can be a pain when they keep weaving back and forth.

I was going to guess snowboard, didn't know a "snow bike" even existed laugh
I knew about the nuts that ride the spiked tire motorcycles on ice laugh

Back in the 80s I had one of the Chrysler snow runners, think moped with track and single sky, was a fun ride and would go just about anywhere you could walk, used it several years running my trapline mostly for rats through the ice and weasels, sold it for more then I paid for it and regret doing so as it was just so much fun

Have thought about one of the snow bikes, there are several different MFGs, heck I even seen one that had a peddle version out as well as electric and gas versions

As for running back and forth that’s just the rider as they go straight just fine it’s no different then some snowmobile riders that just can’t stick to the trail and will run doughnuts and cuts and seldom a straight line

That swerving is probably to help stay upright. I got an antique mini bike I ride on the beach. Got a couple hundred yards of powder to hit the tide line and I have to go in a big curve or get wadded up with sand down your drawers.

When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.
