Similar here, I had a pair of boots for 8 years. Finally had to replace them because they just wore out, have had those same pair for 4 years now.

Just hang in the garage, they go on the boot dryer when super wet.

Keep them out of the heat and don't fold them when storing. My Lacrosse trappers model lasts many seasons.

Two main things to remember about rubber boots.
1. Do not hang them in a room with an electric motor.
2. Keep out of sun light.

3. Stay away from barbed wire fences.

Yep. Electric motors, like a freezer etc give off ozone which eats rubber. I have used armorall on the waders we use in fishing business for years and there is no doubt they will greatly extend the life of rubber. Use is 2, 3 times a year. It works. Several posts mentioned LaCrosse hip boots lasting longer and I agree.

I Armour All them when new out of the box, inside and out. Then stuff them with newspaper and hang them after each use. Didja notice that newspaper is getting hard to find these days! I collect all I can get to store in the barn against the time we have a litter of Pups to raise.
