When was the sale held? I didn’t see any advertising or promotions about it.
For a Montana sale. Those coyote prices are horrible. Did trappers bring their low grades to the sale and sell the good ones elsewhere or are the good ones in freezers.
Thanks for posting. That was the highest coyote avg of the year on country sales

That was the highest coyote avg of the year on country sales In Jan ND had a $44.03 average with 26% sales. A lot of the coyotes that did not sale had offers higher than the average. There were a lot of trappers that thought the market was at $60-70 at that time.

.is that average include no sale price offered...big differance on true average.with only 26 percent selling That is the price of what sold. I show 11 lots did not sell. I would bet that at least 7 or 8 of the 11 lots were offered more than the average of what sold. Starvally was at the sale, he should know what the high bids were, it was a live auction.

If you do not like this year's coyote prices you will hate next year's prices according to some major buyers Very true here! It seems the coyote trim fad had run it's course and buyers are afraid that this can end up in a similar decline to the coon market. Sometimes just because it's half of last years price does not mean that it's not half of next years price. Just like the coon market. Western buyers did not experience what mid western and eastern buyers had to endure, so their perspective may still be upbeat (it'll come back in a year or two)! NOT

As I said, that was the highest sale avg in the country this year. They sold most all the coyotes. The North Dakota sale avg would’ve been lower if the no saled sold. I have the notes and figured the avg.
