It shows the air traffic all over the world. Here it shows the traffic around Ukraine, but none in Ukraine. You can click on each plane and a description of it will come up - picture of the plane, where it's from, where it's going, etc.

Very nice, I was using flight aware, but this is also good. Kyiv Independent is a good twitter to follow along with how things are going.

That's awesome. Thanks.

My uncle (USAF) has an app on his phone like that it's pretty cool. He was showing me the app yesterday. There were several contrails that were sharp banks looked like a jet made them. Come to find out it was a commerical plane but no flight # tail # or flight plan. The plane was making a 100 -150 mile figure 8 for hours between 20k'- 26k' the entire time. Every other plane (private, commerical military) and helicopter had their flight info listed.

NM isn't known for test flights so it was interesting

For you guys that would like a little more insight:

This guy tracks quite a few things related to the world. He was predicting the immigrant dispersion by the US government months before it became news.

My nephew is a Major in the USAF and knows if there is a missile in the air, and where it is.

My wife uses Flight Radar 24. It does the same stuff as Radarbox.

My daughter flies around the world as part of her job and we use it to track her flights.

We also use it to track flights over or house in the early morning hours. One in particular, a small twin engine prop plane, comes through every morning about 4:30. I always thought it was suspicious. We tracked it, no flight plan filed, but we were able to see that he took off in Philadelphia and landed on a small airfield in Lehigh County. I'm still suspicious. LOL

Some military flights won't show much info.

Eh...wot?

Had similar here. Guy was a Dr. with a Beech Baron, flew to work most days. And scheduled donated mercy flights. Big hospital there in the Lehigh valley.
Only Dr's lawyers and indian chiefs can afford to do that. (and climate activist's of course)

You are probably right Crowfoot. I never thought of that even though I drive right by Lehigh Valley Hospital almost everyday on the way to work.

That’s pretty neat. I saw one heading from Edmonton to Mazatlan. It looked like it was passing my house. I looked out and there she was.

I have a helicopter that flies over everyday and found out he hauls mail from Harrisburg to Mifflin county.

Not sure how "real time" the others are, but FlightAware used to be on about a 6 minute delay. Accounting for that, I could match them up quite accurately. I am right beside a heavily used navaid.
I also compared it to my actual flights several years back. Very cool indeed !

Mind your own business, Fly legally, A bunch of land lubbers all think you're up to something.

I completely gave up flying my powered parachute because it actually stopped traffic with gawkers just waiting to shoot me down, like a drone.

And the Air Force base to the east at Alamagordo. I was stationed at WSMR. Very interesting place.
I had a secret clearance but a very insignificant job, keeping the teletype machines operating. Yet there were still places I wasn't allowed to go. James Bond kinda stuff I guess.

All commercial flights rerouting to avoid flying over Ukraine.

[Linked Image]

I was tracking this flight because I know someone on board. The flight plan showed a route right across Ukraine. Thankfully, they diverted like the rest of the commercial traffic.

I know it's all for the good but one wonders the extra fuel all those planes are burning to go around. Seems like a big dog pile of world problems.
