Yes they have guts' about them for sure, most of what im seeing of the American people on the subject is all there worried about is all the homeless pets now , baby's homeless and Hungary and people cry about dogs and cats around here.
I think Russia will eventually prevail, likely at higher cost than expected. If Ukraine can spill enough Russian blood, Russia could scale back it's objectives. We have a lot of family in Finland, which also suffers from increasing Russian threats. Here's a site I find interesting and informative. It has always come across as nonpartisan and free of hyperbole, to me anyway. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone
The longer it last and the higher the cost will weaken Russia. Same goes for China with Taiwan.

Lots of Russians going to die there. They get into street fighting, they're going to stack up like cord wood.
Not sure about casualty numbers being reported, but 200 Ukranains dead....3000 Russians. If true, could get very painful.
Remember the quote from Stalin, "quantity has a quality all its own." And remember Stalingrad. Russians have a lot more quantity than Ukraine.
Those casualties actually sound like a battle, the reports I was hearing yesterday were 27 dead and 100 and something wounded. And I'm thinking, with Russia invading on several fronts and all this talk of all the ground they are taking over, it sounds like there isn't any resistance to speak of at all. Kind of like the conflicts in the Middle East, the media hyped everything up, we were losing so many soldiers, but when you looked at the casualty figures, there were less casualties in a year than there were in some days in every war America has been in in the past, from the Civil War to Vietnam.
Imagine if the Ukrainians had the firearms and ammo we US citizens have, it would be 10 times tougher for Russia. Perfect example why our founding fathers gave us the 2nd amendment.
I wonder how many of these "stories" are true and how much is just propaganda made up by out media? I have no dog in this fight. I trust neither side.
I can help you out here. When the rest of the world is reporting the same information that the US is reporting, that decision is easy. Russia has cut off any outside media from coming into their country and has constantly gone off the deep end of propaganda. The only side reporting anything different are the aggressors who want nothing more than to topple Ukraine and impose their will. As an American you should have a dog in this fight, for the same freedom you get to experience every single day is the same that is at stake here in Ukraine today.
[quote=Tofan] I take it you havent seen pics of Ukraines Nazi problem in its military? They aren't exactly saints. Neither side is woth siding with
You understand that the US military has far more soldiers with personal extremist views right? When did Ukraine invade Russia? When did Ukraine send cruise missiles that killed women, children, medics and the like? I know it's not your problem because you are safe and sound in Iowa with all the corn liquor and beef fat to feed yourself with. Just understand that there are innocent civilians that were killed simply for wanting a better life, to not live under a tyrannical oppressor like Putin.

Where did you get your info? What branch did you serve in to come up with these claims? You used the word “soldiers” so I’m guessing Army?

I get a real kick out of the liberal, propagandist “new world order” media calling Russian media “propaganda”.
I doubt the Ukrainian people will prevail in holding on to the country but Russia will pay their dues. In a way Russia is an underdog, the typical Russian solder is fighting as a conscript and for a bit of pay and offering his life. The home defender is fighting not for money but for his family, his home, freedom and yes for his life. The British Empire at one time held more of the world then anyone in history but lost out. Its tough to be an occupier of a country when your not welcome. God Bless Ukraine
Ukraine is toast, does anyone believe that Russia will walk away? It is a very corrupt country on the verge of defeat, yet the American tax payer will be asked to provide more billions and when that fails we will be asked to provide even more to sustane borderline defence along NATO boundarys.
