Pawnee OP trapper Joined: Dec 2017 Posts: 6,223 Kansas	How many of you guys celebrate Lent or do something (fasting, more time in prayer, ect…) for the 40 days leading to Easter? Most considered it a Catholic thing but I know Protestant folks that participate. I’m giving up soda this year. May not sound like a big deal but I drink way to much of the stuff. I’d keep a can on IV drip if I could! Last year year I gave up Tman for Lent and spent more time reading the Bible. I realize now that hurt the members on here now by withholding my wisdom and knowledge for 40 days so I won’t be making that mistake again. Wife suggested last night I work on being more humble but that’s just crazy talk. Lol On the serious side of things just wondering how many members do something. Everything the left touches it destroys

I can see the value in fasting, prayer, focusing on the spiritual things, but that's a lifelong process and to limit these things to a period of time each year doesn't make much sense to me. Like Brad, It has gotten a lot more importance since my younger days!
