a false flag attack of this nature, with a reactor damaged could easily draw us in...
media really painting the big bad putin picture...who know the truth anymore?
second iraq war followed a media campaign to get support for it and it was promoted with deliberate lies by bush.....
I will never know the real story on what is going on there or the real reasons for it all.
turn off the tv and engage your minds.... This

........................... and it was promoted with deliberate lies by bush.....
As often as this has come up over the years, I have yet to hear anyone explain. If Bush was lying about WMD in Iraq (knowing that they were not there) wouldn't invading Iraq be the one sure way to expose himself as a liar? It does not add up. Chirp..........chirp.......chirp............

Who is it here on trapperman that is(was?) A nuclear engineer or worked at building nuclear power plants? Ring a bell to anyone? Life had me taking a break from this site and WTA rondevous/conventions for a while. Would like to hear their take on this and the actual extent of the danger if the reactor sections had been hit instead of the areas that were. Woukd it really hsve been 10x times as bad as Chernoble? So much of this war makes no sense at all and after the last 6 years any trust I had in media is dang near at zero. My uneducated take (but based on reason and the varioius differing reports) on this attack on the plant is that the Russians took control of the plant (makes strategic sense in a war) and then it was probably the Ukrainians that fired on them there in an attempt to take it back before someone actually thought about what they were shooting towards. Seriously.... who the heck would shoot at something like that on purpose if they were thinking rationally at all ?!

BuckNE worked at various nuclear plants but he took his ball and went home years ago. I believe Finster might also do similar work.
I believe your assessment is pretty close to the truth.
Eh...wot?

Crick....crick....crick.....barumph...barumph...barumph...... Still waiting, but not expecting, an explanation. There was a story several years back (after W was out of office) that claimed they eventually found some... Mostly old rotten shells that just didn't get squared away after '91. Other sources still say No. So, like everything else nowadays, it comes down to which source you trust... Or don't trust. Mike

Was it ever proven that Saddam used mustard gas on his own people? Or was that the questionable WMD?

Lugnut, yes it was BuckNe! Thanks. That's too bad he's not around any longer. Its always good to hear other viewpoints and thoughts on subjects that differ or are even opposite with ones own, imo.

It would be interesting to hear Finster chime in here. The reactor buildings tend to be very thick reinforced concrete so it would take some serious ordinance or continued pounding. You're not going to crack one open with a single 150mm cannon round or a few tank rounds.
Yes Buck NE knew his nuclear reactor material but he was also never wrong and made sure everyone knew he was never wrong. There is a line between having confidence in yourself and hubris. Many of our "leaders" suffer massive hubris. Such arrogance usually leads to bad things...
