The inframe kit cost $2053 the new head cost $2700 the kid that's helping me $1500 so far another $500 in new tools , adhesives and new pipe plugs and fittings . Another $500 in new fluids and filters . At least another $500 in all new rubber lines attached to motor [ ie. Fuel lines ,power steering lines , air compressor oil and coolant lines .

I bought the parts through Heavy and Highway parts .Other than the washers missing have had great tech support and I like the design improvements over the old parts . The casting quality seems neater than the original .

Does the kit have 6 washers of any type in it? They aren't necessarily gold colored. Black, gold, green, even a composite type material. Design changes thru the years. It really isn't that much of a sealing washer anyway. Yes, it does seal out combustion gasses but it is more of a spacer that sets the protrusion of the nozzle into the cylinder. The plastic carbon dam seal just above the nozzle tip is more important to replace. If it leaks before carbon builds up then you will get compression leakage past the nozzle into the engine. This would be a really good time to install new or remanfactured nozzles too. Or at least have the old ones tested.

Those are probably for the nozzles. You'll know if the ones they are sending you are the same thing. I don't remember the genuine Cat washers being galvanized though. May have been some that were silver colored but I'm not sure on that either. You can always measure the thickness and compare to the old ones. Shouldn't be more than a thousandth or so difference between old and new.
