Ohio Substitute Senate Bill 215 is just waiting for Governor DeWine's signature. It will affirm Ohioans Constitutional right to carry concealed hand guns without a permit and with no requirement to notify law enforcement, unless directly asked.

The democrats are going ape crap, trying to put pressure on the governor not to sign it.

Keith

Meanwhile in Georgia the ijits under the gold dome can't seem to want to work up a desire to get reelected.

But good news is my home state of Alabama has but one minor house keeping wrinkle before CC moves across Dexter Ave for Governor Memaw to autograph. This in spite of the sheriff's of the state opposed it as it would seriously deplete their carry permit slush fund.

Same here, it'll make it to the govs desk but he is under a lot of pressure from police organizations that currently control permits to not sign or veto. I'm like BuckMink I can see a downside to the measure. One thing most are missing is other states reciprocity laws. May help in state but what about travel to other states? My current permit is recognized in 35 states what happens if we go to no permit system? It's unsaid. This is not the day when every school boy took his squirrel gun to school, lot of game boy Rambos out there now. Video game heros and such. Just my opinion.

The bad guy has it even better than. constitutional carry. There are many people that should not be driving car's but they are and many without licenses. Ask the people in the Ukraine what they think about gun control. JMO

Almost all of these CC bills leave the existing permit system in place just to satisfy reprocity rules. Basically if you never plan to leave your state don't bother with a permit but if you plan to travel then get one. Kind of like a passport for your gat, I guess.

The Constitution didnt say anything about training. It says the Govt. shall not restrict, period. It will be just fine. People run with scissors every day.

Kinda what I thought, I hope it works out like that. But you know politicians if they can mess something up they will.

Exactly. Iowa passed it awhile ago and no problems.

If it just saves one life , think of the children. Kind of sounds like a familiar like of thinking. I know very few that have had any "training " sure I have seen a lot I would rather steer clear of but few of those would get training anyway or act in a safe manner if they did.

When will people learn you can't remove bad behavior by passing laws.

As licensed driver killed my son. Did a lot of good didn't it.

We have had it for several years now. Its a good thing BuckMink. Violent crime decreases

From what I've seen of Dewine , he's a lot like John Kasich , a RHINO !
He won't get my vote unless he's the only choice I/WE HAVE .

He had to sign it unless he was willing to lose in the Republican primary.
Anyhow, glad he did. Now wifey can carry.
I will maintain my permit for ease of gun transfers and reciprocity.
We made it back to 1791!
Hurray for Ohio!
