Hard to imagine that young men who put in the effort to get appointed to the Army's elite officer training program would ingest illegal narcotics. They did though. That worries me more than Bidet and Kamel-toe in the Whitehouse.

fentanyl is crazy stuff you can get enough in a syringe to kill a horse in one dose.

a good visual of it was basically a quantity about the same as 3 grains of salt is enough to kill you by touch not even ingestion.

drugs is a very bad problem in the USA along with alcohol......up in the top 5 problems we have...maybe top 3.

Being booted is the least of their worries.

Drug dealers like to secretly add fentanyl to make their products much more addictive. Not being rocket scientists, the added portion (poison) may not be mixed or dosed uniformly. It only takes a few light exposures of fentanyl for a lifelong addiction.

These guys are lucky to be alive, but the rest of their lives aren't going to be what they had hoped for.

What a shame. If they live, hopefully they can get their lives back together and stay off of drugs.

The road just got harder. Young people do dumb stuff all the time. Going to a military academy doesn’t make them exempt. Hopefully they move in another direction and lead healthy and productive lives.

Fentanyl is commonly used by students to enhance memory for finals. If you get ahold of some "Hot" stuff it can be fatal.

These guys are supposed to be role models. Appointed by legislators. Not saying much for west point acceptance standards.

Makes me wonder what kind of new officers the military is having to settle for. Maybe they are an exception. There were after all 6 of them and only 4 ingested the drug. What about the honor system they are so proud of though? Are the two still expected to turn in the four? How prevalent is drug use among todays officers?

JMO, but that kind of crap comes down from the very top. Not that the top brass is doing or pushing dope but when the rank and file cares so little of themselves to do dope there's a serious leadership problem.
