This is his sounding bench, the one thing he can control that he wants to.

He won't leave until his age and health force him to, this has been going on for years !

Still think its the longest complaint any one has actually ever continued to rant on and never
done anything about, especially with so many giving such good advice about how to better him
self.

Boco, any one can talk a great story until someone visit's them to actually see what's going on !

What is he going to do, if they end up cutting Social Security in a few years, because they don't have enough money to pay out in full to everyone ? I hear 25 to 33 % cut in benefits in a few years. Is he going to be able to live off that reduced amount ?

Why all the whining and complaining about the Job and the house and everything else ? If he wants more money, then get trained in a NEW SKILL !! What is he going to do, if he gets FIRED AND gets denied the Social Security ? What would he do, if he had a WIFE AND SIX KIDS TO SUPPORT?????

Coonman, honest question. Why use a new job where the huge majority wash out after a year as your excuse not to go? By observing your posts for the better part of 3 years, you are in a job where the vast majority washes out in less than a year. You tell us that every season. Yet you are still there. You are the ONE that didn't wash out on your current job right? See where I am going? If you show up on time and ready to work, even if they have to train you, you probably still best more than 50% of other new hires.

I know there is security in just having a job, but man, you are paying a temp agency good money that you work for. Every hour you work they are taking at least 25% of what your wage should be. That's money you could have in your pocket.

I know you probably won't do anything. I am just leery of reading a thread on here someday that starts with Coonman 220 - head chopped off in horrific press accident.

Good luck

Dave isn't going to get denied SS this late in his working career if he gets fired now and doesn't get another job. I'm sure he has his 40 quarters in to qualify. H*** back in the day, my farm aunts who never had a punch-clock job got some SS, but it wasn't much.

Most likely SS will get scaled back in what was promised, although the politicos will probably just write more hot checks and everybody will pay more through inflation. If coonman can't make it with reduced or inflation-impacted SS, he'll just have to learn how to gather most of his meat through the critters he catches. Plenty of people have (continue) to eat beaver, muskrat, and coon. Just have to get over certain social constructs.

"And God said, Let us make man in our image οΏ½and let them have dominion οΏ½and all the creatures that move along the ground".

Here's the thing coonman the way I see it if you are worth more there would be people coming to you and want to hire you on. You are probably getting the max money you can make. That being said I think you should give the person who you work for 8 hours of hard work if that is what the job calls for. Now I don't know if you have stopped at the senior center lately but maybe you should check it out. There are a lot of rich older sugar women that hang out there. They don't have a man. If you start hangin out there you may find one of them that you could latch on to. BAM all your money problems have just vanished.

You can't get denied Social Security from getting fired.

If/when payments get cut there are going to be millions in trouble
