Eagleye OP trapper E Joined: Oct 2012 Posts: 3,897 Wisconsin	If you remember this -you were an outdoors kid back in the day… if you weren’t an outdoors kid, you were probably eating lead paint chips in the house, same long term affects lol. I can remember the “odorless” smell, greasy feel and mild benefits of applying it. It appears it was discontinued in 1991 for containing 100% Ethylhexandiol (sounds nasty) or (Rutgers 612). Surveying in the river bottoms the summer time skeets were impressive and this stuff really worked to keep them, for the most part from biting. A side effect though was if you had it on your hands it would melt the paint off the tripod legs when you picked up to move. End of the day you would have yellow hands and thin paint on the tripod. Probably was lead based paint that caused the reaction. Zim

For some reason they have not been able to break the 4 hour period of it keeping those pest away with different formulas

I was never impressed with the stuff as a mosquito repellent. We are told not to judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but are told to judge all gunowners by the actions of a few.
