I can't imagine shooting a 44 magnum indoors for starters. Then, that shot had to have gone into the ceiling. Most indoor shooting ranges I've been in have their range in the basement. If that's the case here, the shot could have killed somebody on the floor above. What an idiot!

When I renewed my concealed carry permit, you have to shoot. The indoor range was at the county sheriff's department. I brought my 357 Colt. They wouldn't let me shoot it because of the noise. I did bring some 38 Special rounds. They did let me shoot those instead.

What an idiot! most newer indoor ranges now have 360 degrees armor plated even the door you walk through weighs a ton to take a 44mag even the old national guard armory stations the booth walls are good to 44mag , we have 8 of those booths at the club retired form the NG

It was the noise is what I was told. I know the 357 is louder than the 38. But, I didn't think there was that much of a difference. I would think the sheriff's dept people shoot their 40 Calibers there. Most of the people in the class with me were shooting .22s.

the magnums indoors do ring you more you can feel the pressure wave and many ranges put up blast shields to extend the booths further down range
